The effect of music on reducing stress



  • Naturally, stress can not be eliminated, but the ability to manage stress and adapt to stressors can be changed. Research has shown that soothing music like آهنگ بی کلام can be very effective in this process.

    In a study conducted in 2013, three groups of participants were exposed to a stressor and then tested for stress. The difference between the three groups was that for one group, relaxing music was played, for another group, there was no sound of water waves, and for another group, no special sound was played.

    The results showed that those who listened to soothing music were able to relieve the stress effects they had experienced much faster.

    You must have heard and read many times that stress weakens the immune system. So if we can manage our stress with soothing songs like  مرتضی پاشایی , we will eventually have a stronger immune system.

    Music can be one of the factors that help us in this direction.
    The right music is very tasteful and its choice depends on the time of day and your mood. But in general, a slow-paced music like محسن چاوشی, which has no sudden change, is even more relaxing.

    Before you read the above, let me explain something about it. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a musician myself and play the guitar. I’m not just a musician, however; listen closely to how I use this post as an example of my musical skills: playing the guitar for more than an hour at a time was part of my training for this post, as well as teaching myself to play the piano (although likely not by much).
    The reason why listening to music has such an effect on reducing stress is probably because heart rate variability (HRV) is rising when we listen to music (and it is also falling when we don’t). It is known that HRV correlates with physical activity level and with feelings of stress.
    When we are stressed, our HRV falls. This is true at all levels — from simple random Ohio karaoke equipment fluctuations which are very small in themselves, down to a few points per second. But what happens next? Well it seems as if we are actually doing something positive that reduces stress at low levels: our heart rate decreases and increases in sync with the change in average HRV levels.
