 on the other hand, i stop read 村上 since 海边的卡卡夫 .. cannt help but feel he 卖弄

Emmm... Is it because you never read Kafka? Kafka is a must-read if you are to understand contemporary literature. His works are considered by critics to be emblematic of existentialism, to which contemporary literature received a lot of influence.

 I'm so bored.

I think I ate too much... ZZZ... The book I am reading ("Out of Oz: the Final Volume in the Wicked Years", by Gregory Maguire) has gotten to a point where I start to think it is going to be the biggest anti-climax of the year. I am through 98% of the book, still have lots of questions in my head, and have no idea how all the loose ends can be tied up in the remaining 2%. I want to abandon effort, but can't do that with the ending in sight... :-S I hate it when I am stuck with the wrong book.

 yrs ago, i shouted at a gal, a net friend of mine, who was a graduate majored in eng lit that she couldnt write her resume properly so as to attract employers' attention.
 
 likewise, young engineers now cannt give a quick estimate on size n dimension of plant/space/equipment if he cannot access a computer .. not to mention the loss of draftsmanship n good quality drawing .. i condemn computerized drawing preparation very very much.

I don't think my youngsters' cannot write is related to too much computer... Or is it? The writing itself is ugly, and the presentation is also poor.
 
 "We are to acknowldge receipt of your letter dated XXXX which we received on XXXX..." blah blah blah blah...
 
 WTF... O_o

I am done with "Out of Oz: the Final Volume in the Wicked Years". Like I suspected, the loose ends were not tied up in the end. I can't really decide if it's good or bad. Emm... I think I am relieved the Wicked Years series is finally over.

I'm about to start on the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. A friend lend me the first book in the series. The 唔開胃 part about this book is that it's a physical book, hardcover. I am spoilt by my kindle. :P

I watch movie at home most of the times too. HBO-on-demand or NOW Video Express. But certain movies need to be seen in a cinema... Anyway, I was talking about handsome guys, not about seeing movies.

I recently realised the world is full of people so cautious it verges on idiocy. What one does not have or does not dare experience cannot hurt, so I understand why some people always want to be cautious. Yet, again, what's life without a little bit of risk?

I've finally purchased Kindle version of the Bartimaeus Trilogy and started on Book 1. It's gripping and I just can't put it down. I'm also in holiday mood so it's very difficult to concentrate on work. Spent whole morning sneaking peeks at the book and exchanging office gossip with colleagues.
 
 And I will be off at 4 pm today. Yipee~~ :-P
