Morals vs. Desire

Should one remain in a relationship for the sake of keeping ones moral believes? Or should one fulfill ones desire?

Wanted to be a great boyfriend, honest, understanding and give "her" all the best, so that I may not feel guilty nor regretful at the end of the day, so that I may remain a positive image.
But what if I realized that "she" is not "the one", and I feel the urge to end the relationship, move on to someone else?

"she" still loves me alot..... Was it my fault to show "her" how much I cared (for the sake of keeping up MY moral standards?)

Should I tell her the fact - "I don't think you are the one" ? Or should I hurt myself and suffer...to fulfill my moral believes - [Love her as much as I can, because she is my girlfriend].....
