NEW DANCEASIA WEBSITE GOES LIVE
“www.DanceAsia.com.hk, the new website from HK’s dance magazine, DanceAsia, is now live and offers the Hong Kong dance community a dedicated portal for the first time.”

The first issue of the new DANCEASIA magazine, published by DanceAsia Media, hit the streets this month after a launch party that saw HK dancers, choreographers, producers and dance students come together to celebrate. Now following hot on the heels of the magazine, the DanceAsia website is up and running creating a dance hub online for the region. A portal for all dancers and artists to upload events, jobs, listings and classifieds, the site is currently free of charge.

Director, Doris Tam, says “We are really excited about the new website. Our web features, event listings and auditions/jobs service is exclusively aimed at the dance community, a first for Hong Kong. Before the launch of this site, dancers had to search via word of mouth for all things dance, but now there’s one place to go to see what’s happening in our city.” Editor, Erika Fulenwider, agrees and encourages all arts lovers to upload events onto the site for free over the summer and to get involved, “Without the support of HK dancers and the art community, we would not be able to provide this service. So now that anyone is able to log on and participate, we hope to see all styles of dance, different classes and workshops, performances, and visiting instructors represented.”

The website accepts listings in English and Chinese and is currently FREE of charge. Users can upload content online or email the team for advice.
