Kate makes some very valid points, this is just a platform and no different to other platforms. You are just as likely to meet good or bad people as in bars, clubs on the streets.
Relationships are two way interactions, as someone mentioned earlier you can clap with one hand. How it all turns out depends on what each party brings into the relationship and what they want to take out

Sleeping with someone you meet off the net on the first date, is just like sleeping with someone you meet for the first time in a bar. The platform makes no difference.
As to how the relationship will develop afterwards, it's like all other relationships as well. No difference.
And yes, I've slept with guys from she.com on first date. But one very interesting observation, however, is that the ones that I keep seeing afterwards are the ones I didn't sleep with up front.

In fact, I don't usually spend a long time chatting with the guys here either in forum or MSN. To be honest, only very few of them are good chats. Most people here can just manage hi/bye/what's for lunch sort of conversation.
I don't know if the guys find the gals who sleep with them on first date easy to get and thus less precious. In fact, I can't care less. I only know that the fact that the man sleeps with me on our first date would make the man less desirable to me. I would guess he probably sleeps with everyone on first date.
Whether or not they remember you or arrange a second date really have no inkling to whether you sleep with them I think. I think it's more about whether you are an interesting person and you offer what they are seeking.

It is quite hard to find anyone on the same wavelength here and be able to carry on more than a casual chit chat. People here want to past the time of day so it's always hi/bye/what did you have for lunch/ what are you doing now.....etc.... after a few more of these conversations, the bad drives out the good

Actually, why all the myth?
I sleep with the guy because I fancy him. How many times we have dated before the sleeping together is unimportant. If I cease to fancy him, or he ceases to fancy me after the sleeping together, then we don't meet again. If we still fancy each other, then we keep seeing each other.
Everything is very simple really.
