Yes, people nowadays are superficial. Just do what you believe is right, cannot please everybody actually, but of course, you still have to survive (especially in working environment), better show your strengths at the right moment; otherwise, you cannot stand out and may miss out some valuable chances. Currently, people are too busy to observe, you have to grasp chances to reveal what you should reveal...
