well the word 'decent' can be interpreted differently with different ppl's personal preferences but more or less composed with the following characteristics as per my opinion:

for guys: 1. tall, fit, clean appearances, no need to be handsome but must be trendy and stylish and well-groomed.

2. financially stable, no need to be super rich but be able to support his life time partner's normal (not luxury) expenses, ideally having an apartment and a normal car.

3. nice character, which is hard to define, but in general he must have a kind and caring heart, loves his family, and be a responsible board shoulder man

4. last but not least, a decent man would never claim himself as 'decent', nor would he constantly blow or emphasize how 'good' he always is.
