really harsh ...fired a lot of people now ...OL ...how is work ?

offcourse..market sentiment is weak..no one has confident in stock and share...even they have $$$, they rather put in under their pillow..huh.

i work in bank in hk, very harsh now too.

Yes the environment is tough these days, especially for highly leveraged investment banks. However this is not the end of the story - it's like cancer spreading to other industries.... auto / manufacturing / tourism etc etc

Tim, why do you introduce yourself by saying that you're a "degree holder"? I would be a lot more impressed if you're not. In fact in one of the investment bank that I worked before, there was a senior MD who did not even have a degree... admirable.

just like interest rate, the higher the risker. You know the job is risky at bad times before taking it on. So don't moan. Besides, if bankers weren't so greedy in the 1st place, the finanical crisis probably won't happen.

Well their Modus Operandi was good time but not long time.
When doling these used side down loans u bet your derriere is not going to work. Bankers also betting on realestate price is going to go up, but all good things do come to an end.
No different than Titanic's maiden voyage, they know there were Ice fields they even go full tilt in the dark too.
