Strange SMS on my birthday

Yesterday was my birthday. i received a strange SMS without any sender info, just a simple phrase "Anyone over there".
This was exacty the same phrase i sent to my ex -sex partner one year ago when we were together. Now we hanve't contacted each other for almost nine months. The text message only appeared once on my phone and no copy in the in box, i don't know why..
I never told him yesterday was my birthday. When i sent him a text message yesterday to ask him if it was from him, he didnt reply to me at alll.
What's happening? Am i having hullucination or what?

the thing is when i asked politely in my text meessage to him yesterday to see if the strange SMS was from him. he didn't reply to me at all. why the silence?...he thinks i am chi sin or what?
