樓上的，「甘油事件」已經被證實與中國無關。
事情的起因是，江蘇省泰州市一家專門生產工業用甘油（不能食用的有毒 TD甘油）的公司，接到一家西班牙公司的訂貨，於是把一大批 TD甘油 運送到西班牙。
事情到了這裡，那家甘油廠的老闆便與事件無關。
後來，這家西班牙公司可能是內部資金周轉問題，不能繼續投產，只好把這批 TD甘油 轉手賣給巴拿馬的 Medicom 公司，這家 Medicom 公司總部在加拿大，專門從事醫藥生產。
誰也想不到，這家 Medicom 心腸竟然如此歹毒， 把 桶上的 TD甘油 標籤 撕掉，改貼上 「藥用高純甘油」……
然後， Medicom 把這批「藥用高純甘油」，再轉手賣給巴拿馬政府社會福利保障局。保障局旗下的藥廠，便用這些 有毒甘油 生產咳藥水糖漿，發給巴拿馬居民服用。
事件至今，巴拿馬境內已經有數百人因服食這種劇毒糖漿死亡。倖存者也大多失明、面部肌肉麻痺。
